High Season

Rain at Webb's Slough
Webb’s Slough was a lot wetter and colder than normal at the June sale.

This is the face of forced fun when frigid.

July 17, 2024—We are super excited to have our website up and running! Admittedly, it took longer than we thought it would. So. Many. Pictures. Which meant So Many Different Prints. But we got through and here we are with a real live website. To celebrate, friends and customers can use code MABELLE to get 5% off their order, limit to first 50.

On top of this new platform, we are gearing up for our busy sales season with three fairs scheduled in September. But that’s only after a double duty day in July and another Webb’s Slough event less than two weeks before the fairs start. Needless to say, we are printing and labeling like crazy to get ready for it all. These sales are great, because we’re able to see customers face-to-face and get real time feedback and smiles.

Here’s the breakdown:

July 27: Along with our regular monthly appearance at The Small Biz Shoppe at the River Park Square in Spokane, we also plan to be at Summerfest in Colfax, where 2/3 of the group calls home. We’ve never split to cover multiple events like this before, so it’ll be interesting.

August 24: One of our favorite stops is Webb’s Slough in St. John for the sprint boat races. We have a new 10 x 20 canopy that will see its first use at this one. It rained during the June event, but I doubt that will happen this time. Even with the rain, our 3D printed toys are still a popular item there.

Sept. 5 kicks off the Palouse Empire Fair in Colfax. A truly hometown event for us and, in addition to the business booth, we and kids have animals, projects and displays. Come evening, you’ll likely find a Mathia in the Steptoe Firemen’s food booth serving burgers and fries. Our double booth will be stocked with all the old favorites and some new items, including a healthy supply of chicken and cow $5 Friends you won’t regularly find in our on-line store.

The Latah County Fair runs Sept. 12 to 15. We’ll be set up next to the Poultry Barn. This is a fun event, free for the public, with all you’d expect from a county fair and local flavor. We’ll keep the good times rolling with the same offerings from the Palouse fair.

Sept. 19 to 22 is the home stretch for us at the Nez Pearce County Fair. After two long weekends, we’ll only have a single, 10×10 booth inside the commercial building. Last year we showcased the sloths at this event after a request from a patron at the Palouse Empire Fair. This is our biggest event in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley; also the furthest drive, but it’s great to get out around a different crowd.
